Cavities are small pits that can develop in your teeth overtime from a variety of factors including bacteria, not brushing properly, or consuming a lot of sugar. As the sugar and bacteria sit on the teeth, they eat away at the surface of the tooth developing small holes. The symptoms of cavities can include toothaches, sensitivity, visible pit/dark stain, or pain when chewing. You can reduce the risk of cavities by brushing regularly, staying away from sticky and sugary snacks, and visiting our office for routine check ups.
